Every now and then a TV campaign comes along that we actually like. The more we thought about it though, the more we wondered if this one for CareerBuilder.com is working.
Since our big career change almost a year ago to date, we've noticed a lot of other people thinking about doing something else. But that's all they do, think about it. For many people, change is a scary thing. They prefer sticking to what they know or what is comfortable, even if they are unhappy doing it.
We really like the message of these commercials, and a focus group probably liked it too, but we're wondering if the message, be it a universal one, is motivating enough to stop thinking about a job or career change and actually do something about it.
Perhaps getting people to a website to view jobs is a start. But what's going to get people over their fears and convince them that it's never too late, that the money will come, or any other piece of advice we've heard before but never acted upon?
