Not sure we quite understand the purpose of this category. Amazon states:

"We're shining the spotlight on music that's either made by artists who are committed to environmental causes like Ben Jelen, who started his own foundation (the Ben Jelen Foundation) that supports environmental legislation and third-world countries most affected by global warming; or that's designed to bring awareness to environmental causes like the Green Owl Comp: A Benefit for the Energy Action Coalition."

Is this a genre of music that people actually search out, like, "I only listen to music by those who support a particular cause?"  Perhaps it's for clueless music supervisors who need a pre-packaged soundtrack. Nonetheless, if you read our piece An Inconvenient Truth: Your Music Supervisor Sucks, then you probably get where we are going with this. In short, there's a lot of great music out there by all kinds of musicians that, when placed in the right context, can bring new meaning to environmentally and social awareness--whether they preach about it or not.

Here's our second installment of ecopopstars. Just a few of our favorite tracks that might not be on your ecological radar. After all, why would they be?
