Allow yourself to fail. If you don’t, you might not try anything new. And when you do fall flat on your face, hit a brick wall, or have another door shut in your face, take the opportunity to learn from it. Don’t give up. Dust yourself off and try a different strategy, perhaps even the complete opposite of what you might think to do. And if that doesn’t work, try another. And another. Failing is succeeding because, unlike most people, you will have learned what not to do next time. And when you finally have that breakthrough, you’ll savor that victory even more.
